COW FAMILIES
EVITA
Rull Evita was bought with her bull calf Rull Echo. She has an outstanding track record with one son, Rull Evitus winning senior champion at Perth having previously won many championships in the South West with other daughters, granddaughters and grandsons having dominated on the show circuit. She is also a full sister to Netherton Evita who was sold to Old Glenort and Netherton Eastern Cruz, stock bull at Lockerley. Her first son at Sayers, Evermore N292 sold into the Mendip herd. Unfortunately Evita left us with no daughters in the heard so a second Evita was purchased from Rull out of Evita E041 (pictured below).
LADY JANE
Allabury Lady Jane is a correct cow with great width and conformation. Although she is not huge, her style and breed character out weigh her size. Lady Jane was shown twice in 2012 as a two year old heifer, where she was placed 1st and 3rd. Her first calf Sayers Lady Jelly N295 was Reserve Breed Champion at Frome show 2013 at only 4 months old beating much older stiff competition, her 2nd calf by Gear Flint then in 2014 did the same thing reserve breed champion at frome at 5 months.
BIRDIE
Buttermoor Birdie and her heifer calf were bought in December 2012. Birdie is a powerhouse with alot of width and depth with alot of breed character! Her first calf with us was the thickest we have bred. Her daughter Daphne Birdie is also now in the heard and looks as good as her mother.
PINKY GLORIA
Woodington Pinky Gloria aged 12
Pinky Gloria was bought in 2009 at the Loxton herd dispersal. She is from a well known Woodington family. She is a well shaped and stylish cow who at the age of 14 she is still not showing her age.
Nerrona
EMMELINE
Emmeline was one of two incalf females puchased from the Kingston herd. These cows were the first foundation cows of the Sayers herd and although fairly tradional, Emmeline has bred good heifers with her 2011 calf being shown at the Southern England Calf Show and was the main show heifer for 2013.
